4.6MBS SDSL & BONDED CONNECTIVITY

We are pleased to announce availability of our new 4.6Mbs SDSL service for the Newbury exchange. Offering 4.6Mbs in both directions this is the perfect solution for businesses that require superior bandwidth over ADSL or are looking for a leased line replacement.

With BT's drive to 21CN, Stream Networks are at the forefront of converged IP networks. The past 6 months has seen the launch of new products and services to help our partners leverage the exciting new additional revenue opportunities that convergence provide.

QoS ADSL

In June and as part of our drive to offer the complete converged network for business StreamNET launched QoS (Quality of Service) on all our broadband connections. QoS allows companies to prioritise certain types of traffic over others, for example VoIP over Email, Terminal Services over HTTP. SIP - SESSION INITISATION PROTOCOL

Stream Networks are pleased to announce from the 1st of January 2008 the launch of our SIP Trunk portfolio. SIP Trunks are the converged alternative to ISDN 30 Trunks and run over broadband and IP connections. SIP Trunks are perfect for organisations looking to add extra line capacity to their existing ISDN 30 infrastructure at a fraction of ISDN costs. BEWARE OF LLU (Local Loop Unbundling)

We are currently seeing an increase in customers having difficulties migrating between ISP's because of the LLU factor. A recent number of high profile acquisitions has seen whole broadband customer bases being migrated off IPSTREAM on to LLU as providers seek to reduce costs. Often the customer is unaware that their circuit is no longer an IPSTREAM service until performance reduces and they wish to seek an alternative provider, only to find out that they can't migrate easily as they are on an ISP's own LLU equipment. Our advice is to seek assurances from your service provider that you are on IPSTREAM or at least ask them for assurances on their migration policy.
